Custom Book and Poster Illustration
Paula Tabor specializes in book and poster illustration that captures attention and tells compelling visual stories. Although she’s a digital illustrator, she creates all her art by hand. In fact, she draws on her laptop using a Wacom tablet and stylus. She works primarily in Adobe Photoshop. However, she uses Krita when a paint or pencil/graphite media style is required. For her signature Art Nouveau style of book and poster illustration, Paula draws lines using a pen brush in Photoshop. Then, she uses a lasso tool to define areas of flat color. Subsequently, she pastes them on layers to build depth and dimension. This technique effectively shows shading and depth.
